Ham and Asparagus Roll Ups

8 asparagus spears, frozen or fresh; cooked 8 ham slices 12 ounces cream cheese with chives and onions or herbed; softened 1 lemon 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, very fine black pepper
With paper towels, pat the ham dry and spread each piece with cream cheese. Place an asparagus spear in the center of each ham slice. Drizzle each asparagus with lemon juice. Sprinkle the green onion over the spread cheese and grind a little fresh black pepper over everything. Roll the ham slices, jelly roll style. Place the rolls seam side down on a tray, cover and refrigerate for a half-hour. Slice each roll into hors d'oeuvre size pieces.
